Parade Guide Lines
Newburg Day 2016

All participants please contact Kevin Olsen, Parade Coordinator at 573-529-2887 by the end of May. You will receive instructions for the day of the parade as to time and where to line up.
UNDER CONSTRUCTION
The parade will start at the Newburg High School on Wolfe Pride Drive AND at Cookin' From Scratch in Doolittle. It will continue straight on to Main Street (Hwy T), entries with trailers or floats, classic cars and motorcycles will need to turn left on to East First Street. Go to gravel parking lot, turn around (or park), this is where the parade will end. If you have any questions please contact Kevin Olsen.

*All entrants must make some attempt at representing the parade theme*
This year's theme is:
"Pioneer Beginnings"
*Advertisements / sponsors names or logos on any entry may be no larger than a 2 ft. by 3ft. display.
If animals are a part of the entry the entrant is responsible for making sure the animals are healthy, controlled and well treated. (Poopy scooping is mandatory and needs to be provided by entrant's group.)
All candies and items thrown to the crowd are the responsibility of the entrant.

Float Regulations
1) A float is defined as a decorated trailer that is pulled by another means (i.e. a truck, tractor, 'animal people).
2) Floats cannot be over 30 ft. long and 8 ft. wide (not including the pulling vehicle).
Walking Entrants
1) Must be proceeded with a banner, no smaller than 2 ft. by 5 ft., identifying the group or individual.
2) All members of the group need to be identified in some visual fashion as to their affiliation with the group (or parade theme).
Motorized Entrants
1) Defined as any vehicle that is not pulling a float.
2) Must be proceeded with a banner, no smaller than 2 ft. by 5 ft., identifying the group or individual.
- OR -
Must have an identifying banner (markings) on both sides or front and rear of the vehicle(s).
3) It is recommended that entrants have clean and well running vehicles.
4) If synchronized movements are planned they need to be safe and practiced.
5) No one under the age of 18 to drive any 4 wheelers, Dirt Bikes, or any other Off Road Vehicles!!!!! (New to 2016)
